SUMMER PREVIEW

Over the past few weeks, I have been working to completely restructure my AP US History curriculum. If you’ve followed my journey with EduProtocols before, you know how much I love the framework—but this year, I am doubling down. I’ve spent my days taking everything I’ve learned and explicitly mapping out Units 1 through 3 to be faster, tighter, and more heavily reliant on these workflows than ever before. My goal is to completely eliminate the standard lecture fatigue and turn my AP students into historical analysts from day one.

We aren't just skimming the surface for the sake of the exam pacing; we are using the protocols to force deep processing. Instead of passively copying slides, my students will be hunting for historical lies in "Nacho Paragraphs," weaponizing the XYZ Affair panic to write authoritarian Federalist "NewsBlasts," and using "Guardrails vs. Exit Ramps" to debate the strict boundaries of the Constitution. I am finishing up the polishing phase on the slide decks, digital templates, and pacing guides right now, and I’ll have all of these plug-and-play APUSH resources posted to the resource section of my website by the end of the summer!
